ECCC Pre-Commission Slots OPEN

  • by

Convention season is here, and it’s time to open up pre-commission slots for Emerald City Comicon! I’ll be tabling again in the Artists Alley at Table G-10, and this year, I have the pleasure of having the awesome Patrick Ballesteros as my neighbor, so be sure to check out his table too (that is if you can get through the crowds in front of his table). Also, my Panda Courier piece was accepted for the Monsters and Dames art book, and I will have prints available for that piece as well as prints of my latest Pandamonium pieces.

Prices

Today, I’m opening up pre-commission slots exclusively for ECCC. All prices are for a single character with a simple background. Prices are subject to change depending on the complexity of the character. These prices are for ECCC pre-commissions and ECCC commissions only.

  • OPTION 1: 8×10 BW ink original on watercolor paper – starting at $75 USD
  • OPTION 2: 5×7 BW ink original on watercolor paper – starting at $35 USD

As a quick reminder these are the guidelines for the submissions, no porn, sexual activity, lewd content, explicit nudity or gore, mimicking another artist’s style or hyper-realism. Other than that , I’m open to drawing animals, people, creatures, fairies, robots, fan art, original art, video game art, all kinds of art!

To sign up for a commission, please email me at nolen@nolenlee.com. I’ll confirm within 24 hours with your position on the list and if the request is accepted, I’ll send you my PayPal information, and I’ll begin work once I’ve received payment. Also, please indicate which day you plan on picking up the piece.

See you there!

Sweethearts, BFFs & Bromances Art Show

  • by

I recently finished a tribute piece for an upcoming art show titled, “Sweethearts, BFFs, and Bromances” from 2/11-2/26. The show is being hosted by my friend Patrick Ballesteros at The Perky Nerd in Burbank. Click here or the image below to access the Facebook event page.

All of the show’s pieces are based on memorable relationships from pop culture. I chose to do a piece based on a scene from the 1986 film, “Castle in the Sky” directed by Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli. Prints will be for sale at the shop and will be added later to the shop after the show runs. Below is a close-up of the final piece.

Thoughts from ECCC and Fan Expo Van

Hey everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this, but I finally recovered from the adrenaline drain from the last two comic cons. I’ve gotten back in rhythm, so it’s business as usual.

So where do I begin with ECCC and Fan Expo? First of all, I loved it.  I loved the energy of both events. I loved the people I met. I loved seeing the crazy cosplayers. I loved the all the activity happening around the table. Overall, I enjoyed every minute of my first con experience, and I’m hooked! Now let’s get into the details.Read More »Thoughts from ECCC and Fan Expo Van
