I’m going to be cohosting an art workshop event on May 4 in celebration of Star Wars Day! Click on this post to read more details.I will be giving a presentation with the uber-talented Lawrence Ruelos and Mike Uziel. We will be talking about different aspects of character design, visual language, and visual storytelling, and of course, how the relate to Star Wars. I’ll be presenting on the third topic, and I’m excited for the opportunity to share with others who are interested in improving their art skills. This workshop is open to all levels, so don’t feel like you need to be a (Jedi) master at drawing to come to the event, just bring your sketchbook and a willingness to learn! The workshop will be hosted by the fantastic folks at the Handmade Showroom in Pacific Place in Suite 230 from 5-8pm. We will also have a section open to the public where we will have our art available for sale. You can see more details of the event on Handmade Showroom’s Facebook page.
Please note that if you want to attend the workshop, you will need to register for the event on the Eventbrite page. Tickets for the workshop are $30 at the door, but if you sign up for my mailing list, you will receive a special registration link for a $10 discount off the admission price. All ticket proceeds will go towards the Union Gospel Mission. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
Here are a few more links to follow Lawrence and Mike. If you don’t follow these guys, then get to it!
